People & Strategy specialise in the provision of consulting services to public sector Agencies. We are proud of our capacity to provide relevant and practical programmes and services to improve performance of individuals, teams and organisations in the context of the changing APS environment.

People & Strategy is a management consulting firm specialising in people and performance management and change services and we see people and project management as key enablers for change and improved performance.

The firm’s name emphasises the two key organisational issues on which our business focuses: the people (their capacity, commitment and sense of direction) and the organisation’s strategy (where it is going and how it is going to execute its resources and processes). Our work involves a range of activities to improve organisational effectiveness, in order that people and processes are contributing to success.

Our Canberra office was established in 1993, and has three core consulting staff, four coordination staff, a professional graphic designer and a number of associates who work with us regularly.

In Canberra we specialise in meeting the needs of public sector Agencies. Our consultants have worked in a variety of public sector roles including policy, programme, evaluation, human resource and organisational development. This ensures we understand the real challenges of managing successfully in the changing public sector work environment.

People & Strategy has been working with APS Agencies for thirteen years. All of our consultants have spent some time during their careers working in the APS as middle and senior managers. This past and contemporary experience provides us with an intimate and practical understanding of the environment and the ongoing challenges confronting public policy makers, managers and administrators.

At the 2007 and 2008 ACT Training Excellence Awards, People & Strategy were finalists in the category of ACT Training Initiative Award.
