APSC - Executive Leadership Dimensions

People & Strategy currently delivers the Australian Public Service Commission’s (APSC) 3.5 day EL2 Residential Program entitled ‘Executive Leadership Dimensions.' This challenging program focuses on practical aspects of leadership in the APS ranging from people management and creating high performing teams through to strategic thinking and the policy development process.
As part of the program participants are also provided with opportunities to:
Engage with peers, senior colleagues and highly experienced facilitators about key issues facing senior managers in the APS;
Develop strategies for handling challenging managerial situations at the EL 2 level; and
Diagnose their existing team’s performance environment and develop practical strategies for lifting performance - their own, their team’s and individual staff members.
This program is highly interactive, based on a “real life” case situation, using a Whole-of-Government simulated case activity, interspersed with relevant topics and issues and concluding with a debriefing process. The program is also complemented by pre and post program activities. This program receives consistently high evaluation responses from participants.
In addition to the public programs scheduled throughout 2011, People & Strategy has been invited to deliver an in-house version for Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency. An in-house version of this program was also delivered for Medicare Australia.
