Managing for Performance
People & Strategy has a strong track record in the subject matter of performance management, coupled with practical experience in developing performance management systems and tools for public sector agencies.
People & Strategy’s work in the area of performance management has included:
- delivery of training for staff, managers and work groups;
- coaching for managers and executives to develop skills, knowledge and attitudes toward performance management in the workplace;
- consultation processes about performance management;
- design and implementation of performance management systems; and
- review and evaluation of performance management processes.
People & Strategy initiated the Institute of Public Administration (IPAA) project reviewing performance management in the APS. The resulting report – Performance Management – A Guide to Good Practice has been widely praised for its practical orientation and strategic insights into performance management in a public sector context by senior executives, academics, and practitioners.
People & Strategy has also developed the Performance Dimensions © framework which has been widely praised by both managers and staff for its robust and innovative nature and the ease with which it can be applied to real life situations.
